Finding my Way Home
Acrylic and oil on canvas 125x125cm
Two maps are screen printed onto this canvas, old world maps enclosed in two joined up circles and current A-Z map showing the Abbey Road, in St. John’s Wood London where the Beatles commemorated crossing the road on the zebra crossing. The daisies are my hopeful symbols that the never ending search for home, for each of us should be an easy joyful journey. The blue, white and turquoise are colours that I find easy to live with and would embellish a home with a large white empty wall.
My paintings on canvas include silkscreen prints, they are abstract and are inspired by jazz and pattern making from architecture and textiles.
