On the easel

A recent commission to do a personalised porcelain vessel for a mum’s special birthday, To include a portrait of her working at the easel, painting a portrait of her husband and the three grandchildren on the back of the porcelain vessel , bottle or bud vase. Sculptural ceramics, that blur the line between art and craft.

There are two vessels being shown above. I always make two when I do a commission as with ceramics much can go wrong but also because it allows me to be more playful and experimental.
