    Art and Art History Classes

Do you love learning more about the lives of artists and Art History to accompany your art making? Matisse, Morandi and Modigliani, would you like to know more about their methods and motivations?

A brief introduction at the start of each weekly lesson, looking at some examples from art history using powerpoint and screen sharing.

Then individual discussions about techniques and projects to pursue with your own art making.

Final feedback by the sharing of your artwork with WhatsApp pics or images and a discussion about progress and outcomes.

Email me for the Zoom invite.

  • Review: "Really enjoyed this class. I liked the blend of a brief intro to Cubism, a bit of art history and practical help. It transformed my way of thinking and I was able to produce a piece of Cubist art that I'm proud of! It has certainly allowed me to think approach my art in a different way.“ Deborah W. May 2020. Deborah has now joined my weekly online zoom class.

  • Review: Teen Art Class. Claire, N. April 2020

“Gail has inspired our daughter with the stories she tells of a particular artist and their work. Our daughter’s artwork is fantastic from the class. Gail is enthusiastic and engaging. She cares about her pupils and their own critique of their work.”
